The rivers change from May to October.
High water is usually from June to mid July during the snow melting season. For the real whitewater enthusiast, this would be an exciting time to book on our Whitewater Rafting tour as the rapids are at their biggest.

That being said, the amazing scenery along the Raundal Canyon makes it a fantastic experience all summer long. The Raundal River is not dam controlled and water levels vary all season long, making it an excellent choice at any time during the season

No, you don’t. Most of our guests are first-timers and our trips, equipment, and briefings are designed to put beginners at ease. Our experienced guides will provide a safety orientation before you get on the water and coach you the whole way through the rapids. No previous whitewater experience is necessary.

We recommend that all of our rafters be in good physical health.

If you have a medical issue but you still want to go rafting, we always recommend you check with your doctor first.

There is no maximum age limit for our rafting tours – so long as you’re physically fit you’re welcome aboard!

Our scenic float is also an amazing experience for anyone still wanting to get out on the river, but not interested in grade III rapids.

Plan “A” is always to stay in the boat, but believe it or not, many people love falling out of the raft, after the fact. It’s exciting, but it can be disorienting and a little overwhelming at first. Many people have taken multiple trips and never fallen in. Some people swim on their first trip. It’s all a part of river rafting trip.

Before you go on any trip, you’ll be given extensive instructions on what to do if you fall in, and how to be a smart swimmer. Follow your guide’s instructions, and your “swim” could be the most exciting part of your trip and a great story to tell your friends afterwards!

Tip is not a regular thing in Norway as it’s in USA. Your guide works hard to ensure that you have a fun, yet safe rafting adventure and always committed to the Outdoor Norway high standard guided tour.

Tip is widely accepted as the industry norm; and tipping is always appreciated but never expected. It stays totally at your own discretion.

That is hard to tell precisely because it all depends on different factors, such as: 1. Which trail you go 2. How steep is the route 3. Which power assistance level are you using to assist you during the ride 4. How much you weigh. Note: there are three power assistance levels: Eco-Mode (Low) Enduro Mode (Medium) Turbo Mode (high)

By experience, full-day rentals are going well, when using the battery in a balanced way, the accumulated uphill is less than 400 vertical meters ellevation, and using on Eco-Mode.

When just going with the Enduro assistance mode of the bike, you might run from 2 hours and up to 4 hours. In Turbo mode the battery might last less than 90 minutes.

Of course you can switch the power mode while ciclying and adjust the power level accordling with the terrain needs.

Yes! You can bring your personal equipment as:

Helmet, gloves and/or pedals.

Your pedals we must install on the bikes for you. Guests are not allowed to install the pedals themselves as we already had problems with people damaging the nut thread.

Each rider must be present for brief safety instruction and CORRECT orientation on the use of the rental equipment.

We will make an imprint of a credit card for a deposit on the equipment. Any damage to the bike will be charged the market price.

By experience we’re quiet sure if you “ride within your ability” you will reduce to a minimum the chances to fall off and the risk to injury yourself and the risk to injury the equipment as well.
With that said, we strongly recommend you to ride within your ability to avoid misfortunes!

For the Multiday Rental, the mountain bikes must be pick-up in the morning and delivered before our closing time, every day. There have been severe misfortunes with people not taking enough responsibility for the equipment during the overnight staying. After evaluating these episodes, we came to the conclusion that it is not beneficial to rent the bikes overnight as the financial loss and time-consuming fixing of the equipment jeopardise the business operations. If you have further inquiries related to the multiday rentals, please send us an email via the form below and our team will be happy to assist you.
