FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS

Airfare is not included in this package and will need to be booked separately by the individual. Many airlines fly to Bergen including KLM, Delta, SAS, Norwegian Air, Iceland Air, and Qatar Airways.

Guests arriving on Bergen Flesland International Airport shall take a Tram to Bergen Central Station.

From Bergen Central Station you can experience a wonderful Train journey to Voss. The train ride takes just over one hour.

From the Voss Train station, is only 50 metres to your accommodation.

In Voss, all the transportation to the tour locations are included.

WHAT IS THE VIKING VILLAGE IN VOSS THAT WE WILL VISIT ON DAY 2?

On Day 2, the tour includes a visit to Njardarheimr, a full-scale Viking village near Voss built to recreate life during the Viking Age.

The site spans over 1,500 m² and was constructed using over 500 m³ of timber, with Viking Age-inspired carvings, ironworks, and handcrafted details throughout.

This Viking village in Voss is one of the most distinctive stops on the itinerary. It's a living cultural site rather than a conventional museum, and the level of historical craftsmanship makes it a genuine highlight for anyone interested in Norway's history.

WHAT BERGEN FJORD ADVENTURES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS TOUR?

Bergen plays two roles in this trip.

On Day 1, you arrive and can explore the city independently. The Bryggen Wharf, Fish and Flower Market, Fløibanen funicular, and Old Bergen Open Air Museum are all within easy reach.

The Bergen fjord adventures come later in the trip, when the included ferry from Sogndal brings you back through open fjord waters to Bergen harbor, with coastal and fjord scenery throughout the crossing before the final city day begins.

DOES THIS TOUR INCLUDE VISITS TO OSTERFJORD OR OTHER FJORDS BEYOND NÆRØYFJORD?

The main fjord experiences on this tour are Nærøyfjord on Day 2 (kayak), Aurlandsfjorden and Nærøydalen on Day 7 (cruise and train), and Sognefjord on Day 8 (boat cruise). Osterfjord is not part of the standard itinerary.

The combination of three distinct fjord environments across separate days does give you considerably more range than a single-fjord day trip.

If you're specifically after an Osterfjord adventure, this tour doesn't cover it. However, you can also get in touch if you'd like a customised route.

DO I NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT TO GO ON THIS EXPERIENCE?

We suggest that all our guests have good physical health for multi-day active adventures.

While tipping is recognized as a standard practice in the industry and is always welcomed, it's never an obligation. It's entirely up to your discretion whether you choose to leave a tip. Your appreciation for the service provided is greatly valued either way.

CAN I LEAVE MY BAG/LUGGAGE AT THE BASE?

Yes absolutely, that's not an issue at all.

We have shelves available for storing your belongings while you're out on a tour. Rest assured, there's always a member of our staff present at the base, so your items will be securely looked after— nothing goes missing on our watch!
