Tour Highlights
See More of Norway in One Day
Most visitors choose either a fjord tour or a mountain adventure. The Elements combines both into one guided experience, giving you the chance to explore Western Norway from two completely different perspectives.
Start by kayaking on the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord or the beautiful Hardangerfjord, where steep mountains rise directly from the water. Later, switch to a premium e-mountain bike and ride scenic forest trails around Voss. By combining these activities, you'll experience more of Norway's landscapes without spending extra time planning separate tours.
Two Iconic Norwegian Landscapes
The day begins with a guided fjord kayaking tour through either the Nærøyfjord or Hardangerfjord, two of Norway's most spectacular fjords. Calm waters, waterfalls, and towering cliffs make this one of the country's most memorable outdoor experiences.
In the afternoon, you'll explore Voss by e-mountain bike. Electric assistance helps you ride further while enjoying forest trails, quiet gravel roads, and panoramic mountain views. Together, these two adventures showcase why Western Norway is one of Europe's leading destinations for outdoor travel.
Local Guides. Better Adventures.
Outdoor Norway has been guiding visitors through Voss and Fjord Norway for years, creating small-group adventures that combine local knowledge with world-class outdoor experiences.
Our certified guides know the best kayaking routes, mountain trails, and local conditions, adapting the day when needed to give you the best possible experience. With premium equipment, small groups, and carefully designed itineraries, you'll enjoy a safer, more personal adventure while discovering places many visitors never experience.
Ride Norway at Its Very Best
Our flagship bike tour runs from June through September, because that’s when the mountain trails are snow-free, the days are long, and riding conditions are at their finest.
Early summer is full of rushing waterfalls, vibrant green valleys, and lingering snow on the highest peaks. Mid-summer you get endless daylight for long days in the mountains. Late summer and early autumn reward riders with crisp air, quieter trails, and spectacular golden colours across the fjord landscapes.
No matter when you join us, each departure offers a different perspective on Western Norway. Here, changing light, mountain weather, and unforgettable trails make every expedition unique.

Still Have Questions?
No. Most guests are first-timers. Our guides walk you through setup and technique before each activity and provide continuous guidance throughout the day.
A moderate fitness level helps, especially for full-day paddling and biking. That said, the e-bike assistance and guided pacing make it accessible for most people in good health. If you have medical concerns, consult your doctor beforehand.
This bike tour showcases the incredible variety of mountain biking in Western Norway.
Expect a mixture of flowing forest singletrack, natural mountain trails, gravel climbs, alpine ridgelines, and long descents through spectacular fjord landscapes. We deliberately chose trails that vary in style, from smooth and fast to more technical sections with rocks, roots, and uneven terrain, to make this an exciting adventure for experienced riders.
Kayaking and biking go ahead in rain or shine. Water activities don't lose much to weather. You're already on the water or in nature, so a bit of rain is part of the experience.
It's common to end up in the water on a kayak at some point. Before you set out, your guide walks you through exactly what to do if it happens and how to get back on. It usually becomes the best story from the trip, not the scariest part.
Yes. Our bikes come with standard flat pedals, but we offer clip-in SPD and Crankbrothers pedals too. If you bring your own pedals, saddle, gloves, or helmet, let us know in advance and we'll make the swaps at check-in.
Absolutely. We have a high-quality triple kayak from Prijon that fits 2 people and your furry friend. Just let us know in advance so we can reserve it.
Yes. A waiver acknowledging risks must be read and signed before any activity. For minors, a parent or guardian signs on their behalf.
Tipping isn't customary in Norway like it is in the USA. Our guides put considerable effort into keeping your experience safe and enjoyable, and they're paid accordingly. That said, tips are always welcomed and appreciated if you want to show extra gratitude.
Yes, absolutely. We have shelves for storing belongings during your tour. A staff member is always present, so your items are secure.
