Tour Highlights
More Than a Norway Bike Tour: A True Expedition
Most bike tours explore one valley before returning to the same hotel each evening. This adventure was designed differently.
Over nine unforgettable days, you'll ride across two of Norway's most spectacular mountain regions on an ever-changing journey from the forests and alpine ridges of Voss to the dramatic fjords and glacier landscapes surrounding Lustrafjord.
Powered by premium e-mountain bikes and led by passionate local guides, you'll reach remote summits, hidden trails, and breathtaking viewpoints that few visitors ever experience, all while enjoying the comfort of seamless logistics, carefully selected accommodation, and a dedicated support team.
Designed for Riders Who Love Big Mountain Adventures
This tour is created for intermediate to advanced mountain bikers who enjoy challenging rides, technical singletrack, and the satisfaction of earning incredible descents.
You don't need to be an elite athlete, but you should feel confident riding varied terrain and spending several hours in the saddle each day. The electric mountain bike makes the biggest climbs achievable, allowing you to ride higher, further, and deeper into Norway's spectacular backcountry without losing the thrill of the adventure.
If you enjoy discovering new trails, sharing epic days with like-minded riders, and returning home with stories few cyclists can tell, this expedition is for you.
Norway's Ultimate Playground for Mountain Biking
You’ll be shocked at the diversity of riding found between Voss and the Sognefjord.
Within a single journey, you'll go from flowing forest singletrack and remote alpine ridgelines to glacier-carved valleys, turquoise fjords, and panoramic mountain summits that seem to stretch forever. It's a landscape shaped by ice, water, and time, with some of the most rewarding mountain biking anywhere in the world.
This is Outdoor Norway's home terrain. Every trail has been carefully chosen by our guides to showcase not only the best riding, but also the landscapes, viewpoints, and hidden corners that make Western Norway unlike anywhere else.
Ride Norway at Its Very Best
Our flagship bike tour runs from June through September, because that’s when the mountain trails are snow-free, the days are long, and riding conditions are at their finest.
Early summer is full of rushing waterfalls, vibrant green valleys, and lingering snow on the highest peaks. Mid-summer you get endless daylight for long days in the mountains. Late summer and early autumn reward riders with crisp air, quieter trails, and spectacular golden colours across the fjord landscapes.
No matter when you join us, each departure offers a different perspective on Western Norway. Here, changing light, mountain weather, and unforgettable trails make every expedition unique.
The Itinerary, day by day
Day 1 – Welcome to Voss
Your guides will meet you at Bergen Airport before transferring you to Voss, Norway's outdoor adventure capital and your home for the first half of the journey. After settling into your accommodation, you'll be fitted to your premium full-suspension e-mountain bike and introduced to the week ahead during a relaxed welcome briefing.
Take the evening to unwind, meet your fellow riders, and soak up the excitement before your first day on the trails.

Day 2 – Ride Above Voss
Your first ride is all about building confidence and settling into Norway's mountain trails. Assisted by your e-bike, you'll climb high above Voss to sweeping viewpoints before enjoying flowing singletrack descents that introduce you to the riding style and terrain that make this region famous.
The pace is relaxed. You’ll have plenty of time to fine-tune your bike setup, develop your rhythm, and enjoy being surrounded by mountains.

Day 3 – The Grand Traverse
Day 3 is one of the defining rides of the expedition.
After a short shuttle into the mountains, you'll climb towards an exposed alpine ridgeline with spectacular 360-degree views across Western Norway. Standing high above the valleys, you'll understand why this ride has become one of our guests’ favourites for years now.
Then comes the reward: a long, unforgettable descent that changes character from open alpine terrain to flowing forest singletrack before returning to Voss.
The day concludes with a well-earned celebration barbecue shared with your group.

Day 4 – Into the Wild Mountains
Today's adventure takes you deep into remote mountain country where few riders—and even fewer visitors—ever go.
After a rewarding climb, you’ll reach one of the highest viewpoints of the entire tour, with glaciers stretching across the horizon on clear days. The trails feel wonderfully wild, and the sense of isolation only adds to the experience.
Finishing another memorable descent, the evening is yours to enjoy Voss at your own pace.

Day 5 – From Mountains to Fjords
One of Outdoor Norway's signature descents begins with a shuttle to a high mountain pass before an almost continuous ride downhill towards the valley floor.
From alpine terrain to forests and finally the fjord below, today's route is meant to demonstrate the dramatic elevation changes that define Western Norway.
After a celebration barbecue, the journey continues north as you leave Voss behind and travel alongside the mighty Sognefjord to your beautiful fjord-side accommodation for the second half of the expedition.

Day 6 – Fjords & Glaciers
The landscape changes dramatically as today's ride climbs high above the Lustrafjord.
Some of the steeper sections require a short hike with your bike, but the reward is well worth it: panoramic views across Norway's longest fjord before descending towards turquoise, glacier-fed waters.
Later, you'll explore one of Norway's most accessible glacier arms, enjoying a guided walk and learning how these powerful rivers of ice have shaped the landscape you've been riding through all week.

Day 7 – The Grand Finale
The final ride is the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable week.
Climbing from near the fjord's edge, you'll reach another spectacular alpine summit before beginning one of the longest and most rewarding descents of the entire expedition. Flowing trails, glacier views, waterfalls, and endless scenery combine into a ride you'll remember for years.
In the afternoon, you'll discover more of the Sognefjord region, including one of Norway's oldest stave churches and a dramatic waterfall, before celebrating the journey together over dinner.

Day 8 – Cruise the King of Fjords
Swap two wheels for the water as you board the express boat through the magnificent Sognefjord, Norway's longest and deepest fjord.
Relax on deck as towering mountains, waterfalls, and picturesque villages drift by before arriving in Bergen for your final evening together. Spend the rest of the day exploring the colourful harbour, UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf, or simply reflecting on an extraordinary week of riding.
