Outdoor Norway expert guides will take you on a hidden singletrack journey to experience a true wilderness ride in Norway.
The views along this route are simply gorgeous, join us for this Mountain Bike trip, The Grand Traverse!
To get where no others, go we need to push our bikes until reaching the north ridge. As we ride across the mountain ridge the amazing views unfold. We can spot the three valleys of the mountainsides and the Lønahorgi Peak at west.
We stop at Skorseteggi Peak at 972 masl. to take a break and enjoy our delicious snack and the natural surroundings.
Reaching the south side ridge, it’s time to embark on a long ride downwards, mixing three short ups until getting back to Voss at 60 masl.
This beautiful route is perfect for those who are in good shape and used to challenging rides. The Grand Traverse is technically a complete loop, starting in town, involving many kilometers of the paved road by shuttle and returning by biking all the way back to town.
A great and rewarding long day on bike.
People who tell you that you can't have it all? They're wrong!
The Stereo 170 Race 29's precise handling and boulder-swallowing suspension performance starts with Fox's stiff, accurate 38 Performance fork and Float X2 Performance shock
Mountain-taming ability is handled by Sram's new Eagle GX 1x12 gears with 52-tooth sprocket, combined with Magura's powerful MT5 hydraulic disc brakes. You must stop that bullet at some stage
It'll redefine your expectations of what a big-travel, big-wheeled bike can do. And there's a dropper post too, for ultimate control.

The journey starts with a shuttle up to the Opheim lake at 370 masl.
Part 1. We push the bikes for about 45 minutes until is possible to pedaling where the fittest bikers will find a challenge! As we go up, the view across the valley is pretty dramatic from up there.
Part 2. At 810 masl. we hit a less steep track that leads up to the top of the mountain ridge. From the ridge, a panoramic view over the whole mountain system opens up.
We reach the Skorseteggi Peak at 972 masl. and take a break to enjoy our delicious lunch and the gorgeous views. Recommencing the great ride on singletrack across the high plateau alternating ups and downs.
Part 3. Time to point our bike downwards on a pure singletrack alternating rock garden sections and two steps down. A truly fabulous mountain bike adventure where you have to pick the good lines and dare to roll over a few rocks.
The next stop is by the Liaset Paraglider take-off which still offers a great view of the valley ahead, paragliders are a good example of how to harness the power of nature sustainably!
Part 4. We take off on a short gravel road section connecting to hidden singletracks then connecting to a tight section by a creek river bed until we reach the first village a more flowy track, all going down.
Part 5. One short uphill before we get that overdose of singletrack mixing flowy ride with challenging Norwegian alpine terrain to then arrive back in Voss to end a pure mountain bike traverse day.
Part 6. Skål, what a journey! Time to lift a pint from the local brewery.
This is a demanding but fun mountain bike tour, the perfect opportunity to ride awesome bikes on singletrails thorugh the mountains!
